shopaholic Pillar of the Community Canada 789 Posts	Posted 02/15/2013 1:46 pm The field is mirror (proof), and the gold is plated on top of a very slightly raised field, which is also mirror (proof), one reason why it is more difficult to capture the colour nicely in photo. The small maple leaf has the same finish as common SML. If we compare this to the gold plated 1/2oz silver penny, the gold is plated on a matte relief (the maple leaf) so the colour become more prominent on the penny. Report this Post to the Staff

I could of order it when it release to MC but I was reluctant to order it until it went to public. Actually, it is the only coin that arrived of all my orders.
