Quote:I recently sold one not even half as interesting as this one for $26.00 on
ebay. I'm sure yours would fetch more.
can be hit and miss depending on how bad someone would want that note. In my years of selling on
I've had it go both ways. I've sold bills/coins for 50X trends value and I have sold bills/coins and haven't even received one quarter of trends value.
Quote:True, there are always uninformed buyers on
ebay, but in reality that bill isn't worth much more than face value.
I agree that some buyers are uninformed, but I also think that alot of has to due with supply and demand. All you need is just two collectors out there that would love to have this note as part of the collection who knows what it could go for if they got into a bidding war. Unfortunately the truth of the matter is that this bill in this condition is only worth face value but that doesn't mean you can't get a little more for.
When I purchase something for my collection, trends prices don't mean anything to me. If there's lots of them out there I can pick it up for a good price. If there is only one and I want it, I will pay for it and I'm an informed buyer. I just don't not hold myself to a 'trends' price.
