It's been that long. Sorry to hear about her loss. Then again, I haven't been to Torex since it moved from the Primose Hotel. However long that was.

Banknotes -

I had about 7 coins in the auction. 5 of them were nothing special (low estimates of $100 - $300, and most fetched 30 - 40% of low estimate).

I had the 1953 SF Mule ICCS VF-30 in the auction. The coin immediately before it was VF-20 Scratch, and the one after it was EF-40 Scratch, mine had no scratch and I thought it might fetch the highest of the three. The others went for $180 and $250, mine went for $125. It was a nice VF-30 as well.

I also had the 1906 Small Crown, that I think Louis posted a horrible picture of. It only took in $750. I paid more for that when I bought it raw from a 0 feedback seller (I thought it was a steal at the $800 I paid for it). Small Crowns in AG have been selling for $900 - $1200 on ebay, and I thought it'd go closer to the $1200 in Torex.

I did get $150 for the 1999 November Mule quarter MS-64 NBU. I wasn't expecting it to go much over $100.

mindfreak, I assume you had a good chat with Sandy about that token? I think you picked the right auction for that item. Good luck.

Thanks to all 3 of you involved in this experience. A "newbie" like myself sure needed your guidance and knowledge! Hope to see you at the Coin Expo.
