Well, I like it.
I know is not a cheap coin and even if I don't use to buy insects, I really liked the coin. It's easy to appreciate the dragonfly and his environment. I don't like when a coin has so many details so finally we don't know what's the coin about, but this one is like "simple" and beautiful.

And it's the first in a new serie so let's see how it continues...

I'm glad you like it arianzo!

I got one as a gift for my wife and I think it's beautiful too. I'm pretty sure she will as well, when she sees it.

P.S. It's a secret, please don't tell.

Did anyone else receive an order shipment update for this coin? The Mint informed me that mine are back ordered. This is a bit frustrating especially when some people who recently placed orders received their coin right away (not hating on you guys or anything ) whereas some of us who ordered earlier are still waiting. I think I'm going to try to find one at CP and cancel with the Mint.

The Mint informed me also about the backordered status and 2 days after that my order was shipped with the 3 coins (skimmer backorderer included).

I'm in the same situation as you, sw3dish_ch3f. Got an email today (well, shortly after midnight if that is "today") saying mine has been back ordered. It's weird--the Mint had a "pending" debit on my credit card for it on May 1st. That sat there until about the time they sent the back ordered email when it disappeared. Now, however, there is a new pending debit dated today (May 10th). I feel like I'm on the end of a yo-yo! So I hope arianzo's experience will be the same as mine, but I won't hold my breath.

Ravenzcoin, hope for the best and don't be surprised by anything.

In my experience with the mint, there is no logical explanation for whatever transpires.

Hopefully you'll get your Dragonfly soon, but maybe not.

Remember, anticipation is half the fun.

It's strange. I wonder how the Mint prioritizes shipments and I know it's a topic much discussed but will we ever find out? lol. Ravenzcoin, I hope you get yours soon. I will post an update if and when mine are shipped :)

That guy who sold the skimmer coin for $61 must have ended up with something like $54 after all the ebay fees. And it was sold by the mint for $80.

I would never use an Auction type listing for coins that are not popular.

So much hype for for a "hot" coin, that turn up to be much less.

the first few coins in the Birds of Canada series didn't do so well either - I think that series didn't take off until 3 years later after the Goldfinch (6th coin) came out. FWIW, I've decided to keep my skimmer order, collect the next few in the series and see what happens...can't you just see people really wanting to have a collection of colourful dragonfly coins, all in different natural settings ? I enjoy the coin and will take my chances : )
