how do you expect to get any deals, he is a RCM dealer who knows what coins are hot and he knows to hold back these coins and get max value on ebay just like this roll.

You don't get the answer if you don't ask and don't try.
I do not see any loss if I visit his store.

Called it $1,025.01 with 5 days to go! I though one thousand was a high estimate on the premium he would get for this. Now I am excited to see how high it will go.
If this hits the 5K mark I will be amazed.

wow, that is ridiculous, considering that actual last penny went to the museum in Ottawa. I wonder if the buyer will actually pay. As a seller I would be really nervous with a 0, 4 and 8 as my top bidders by a long shot.
Think of what you could buy with $1k+ in regular circulation coins?

For this unique roll I would've done a 30 day auction. Get the newspapers (Numismatic and regular daily rag) notified to do a story on the roll, build interest on all coin sites, etc. Milk this thing so people all over can know about it.
You have no competition. The interest can only grow on this roll. 7 day auctions are best for most items on the Bay, but not for this baby.

I'm thinking there will be a lot buyer's remorse on this auction. Obviously it has already started, and the top 2 bidders have 0 feedback and 8 feedback.

There are no 30 day auctions on ebay. Maximum I believe is 10 days. You can do a 30 day fixed price style listing on ebay.

You may be right. All I do are 24 hr, 3 day and 7 day open auctions. Can the fixed price be a BIN with a auction format option?

So the seller told Dooby Rak that he is a RCM dealer... Did anyone else notice that this auction should be subject to GST/HST depending on the residency of the buyer?

@aarf: LOL- if you were referring to me then thanks... but I actually dropped out when it hit $550. If I had the cash then I'd do it, but unfortunately I just don't have the funds. I hope someone on here or RFD gets it.... maybe then we will have the chance on it if it shows up again in the future.

Cant help but notice some hate-fest going on here. The guy was fortunate enough to get the last penny roll, now whether it is THE actual last penny roll or not, doesn't really matter.the holographic label says so and all hail the hologram.
No matter how much it sells for, I don't see why anyone here would be bothered, its not like the money is coming out of your wallet. I hope it sells for 10k. He got it and he deserves it.
