Look so long through loupe Eyes blurred, head pounding away Can't see a darn thing
Some say geeks love coins I say bring on the geek then Cuz coins are my life
My wife doesn't get, How I spend hundreds on cents, Her eyes roll each time
The more coins I buy The further in love I fall With this great hobby

(From what I understand, a haiku is to speak of nature. This is as close to nature as I can get.)
From deep in the earth Come copper, silver and gold. A wonder to behold.
Cu, Ag, and Au, initials fraught with temptation, welcome!
And unto metals' spell We do submit ourselves, and Watch bid prices change.
From day to day, what Torment feel the metal bugs. I say, go classic coins.
A chacun son gout. To each his own. Let's collect Our heart's desire.

Uncirculated, Unseen, untouched, a penny Glistens in its roll.
Edited just to add space between the haiku and this line: Too bad a penny can't glisten without light...

Here's another in hope of best haiku:
Coins sparkle brightly I glance into my wallet Still don't have enough...
Me again, all too often. Hard to buy good coins on allowance =).
Here's another try.
Pocket change jingles. What coins will I find today? Behold, wheat pennies!
Once again, personal experience. You can still find the occasional wheat floating around south Texas. Happy Hunting and good luck to everyone entered!

to CCF, ryanklaus! Thanks for becoming a Supporter :) You now have 5 entries into the raffle instead of just one, plus your entries for the separate Best Haiku! Reminder: the contest closes for entries tomorrow night (Friday) at midnight EST. The drawing will not take place until Tuesday to allow CCF time to process any Supporter donations-- there is a slight lag between your donation and having 'Supporter' appear under your name and I don't want to short-change anyone in their raffle entries. Plus, I need the weekend to select the Best Haiku. Gonna be tough, wish I could afford to mail out a dozen prizes.
