I have been slowly getting attracted to this set. Thanks for all the insights! Maybe, one day I will take the plunge.
Has the mintage for the new American Robin gone up over previous issues?

Woa 630, 631

Assume they will do all of these birds. It will take 315 years to collect and complete the whole set. (if they release 2 birds coin every where).

haha.. This would be a generation collecting series. (From grand-grandpa to grandpa to father to son.)

Only about 11,000 nuthatches produced meaning only 11,000 or so able to complete their sets!

Mintage on the nuthatch was 11909.

The cardinal had the lowest mintage (11604) but you're point is still valid. Only about 11k complete sets will exist.

That's pretty cool, I had no Idea that the northern cardinal was that low in mintage.

What a difference a few thousand makes - maybe it's the bird on the coin or the fact that people pick up on the series and some coins aren't up for sale therefore a higher price on the open market. The BlueJay seems to go for a higher price than the chickadee...
