Metalman:

Again, I did try to get out of buying the coins only because I "had second thoughts," and NOT because "the price has dropped since you bid on the items." I tried to undo the deal three hours after the auction ended.

Also, sharing my "Buyer's Remorse" with you all, I was looking for advice. I was only trying to be straightforward about my mistake, & looking for a legal & legitimate "escape clause." What I was contemplating made not be 100% proper, but neither was he, listing "Certified," when they are not, & having a non-conditional "Return Policy" that he will not honor.

At this point, I'm probably going to follow the advice of those who told me to "do the right thing" & try to recoup my money through reselling on ebay. Thanks more to the "understanding" & sympathetic comments rather than the harsh ones.

Again: My four questions:
1) Should I list them now or wait a day or two to see them when they arrive? If they turn out to not look authentic, i.e. fake, or if they look circulated, then I'll fight to get all my money back.

2) Then I would have to remove them from ebay. What are the repercussions from that?

3) Better sold as a lot of 15, or 3 lots of 5, or individually?

4) Better sold as "Buy It Now" or auction?

1. I would definitely wait till they arrive before making any decision.

3. The smaller the lots, the more you'll get for them. Not everyone can afford or even wants more than 1.

4. Auction

Opinions may vary though.

Would you use a starting price? Would you also include a "Buy It Now" price or only do auction?

Any other opinions?

Also add free delivery? Or charge?

I been a ebay member for almost 6 years, but only as a buyer; never sold; please be patient with me.

Well, Susan would start them at 99 cents and let 'em run. But not everyone has her ummmm, wellll, uhhhh, tenacity? Yeah, that's it, tenacity. Nah... no BIN.

I don't mind a $50-$100 loss so much. But if they go for $40 each, after my fees, my loss would be $300. Ouch!

Also, since prices are dropping, I think I'd be better with a 3 day auction instead of 7 days. What about free delivery & a "Buy It Now" price? Will that increase the bidding or have negligible effect? Regarding my previous post, that why I'm thinking a $45-50 starting price. Starting at 99 cents: Not sure my insides could take the stress.

3 day auction? post them around between 6-7 pm pacific time Friday ( today0 so they end Sunday 6-7 pm pacific time, this means you have better exposure and an ideal closing time as most people are usually home Sunday at those times and are willing to hang in there for the last minute bidding. That's what I've learned at least in my few ebay sells. But 3 day auction sounds good to me. A couple of cents cheaper. Mail them out first class mail imo. If you use a normal envelope and a stamp you're looking at about 42-50 cent in shipping costs, if you use bubble mailer and buy a 12 pack of bubble mailers, and use postage, you're looking at around $1.50 in costs of mailing supplies and postage. take all payment methods as ell, checks, money orders and paypal. Don't want to block off better payers, I learned that the hard way, sold a card and only offered ebay, went for $25ish or so, next auction, same card, had 2 of them, sold for $55. They sent check, in your situation, the wait is worth it to get maximum cash out of it. Well I hope my few things I've learned in the few auctions I've had help. I dunno about you guys but when I charge shipping, I charge postage, mailer, time and gas to post office so first class I am usually at 2.95 to 3.95, in your situation I'd charge 2.95 but you can always go 2.99 or 3.25 and still look descent compared to what others are charging for shipping. Enough of my rant! btw I got two smoothies in change today in Carson, California, when weighed at home, they were .1 grams less in weight compared to normal washington dollar so they are fakes / sanded ones

Meanwhile, it's Saturday night & the 2-3 day Priority Post that was mailed on Tuesday morning is still not here. Now, I expect it Monday. So much for 2-3 days.

Priority mail is not guaranteed ,, it can take 7 to 10 days to be received .

I know priority boxes from Delaware to New Mexico can take 5 or 6.although I have received them quicker at times .

It's North Miami Beach, a misnomer. It is totally different from Miami Beach. It's actually 4 miles inland; 30-45 minutes from Miami Beach. Homes are much cheaper. I have lots of expenses. Don't count other people's money.

bobby131313,

What's BIN?

Also, to all my critics:
You've convinced me to do the right thing & try to recoup my money on ebay. Any further advice on how I should auction? Would you use a starting price? Would you also include a "Buy It Now" price or only do auction? Any other help is appreciated.

Also, I'm leaving town on Tuesday for a week, due to a death in the family. If the coins come tomorrow, Monday, I'll take them with me & do my ebay sales from there. If they don't come tomorrow, then I can't list them for another week, as the prices may continue to drop. So much for Priority Mail. Monday is one full week since they were sent.
