I suggest you block him from your auctions. This guy has zero feedback and decided to place a bid on one of my items one month ago. I waited till day 29 and then opened an unpaid item dispute against him after him not replying to my messages and all. ebay ruled against him and the following day he decides to leave me negative feedback. think it is the buyers responsibility if paying by check, money order, etc to send the payment registered mail or with some sort of delivery confirmation to ensure payment gets here. I think since he is new, he just wanted to rip me off and get a free item from me. I emailed ebay to have the feedback removed but with one negative feedback with my 21 positive received really dampers me and discourages members to bid. Anyway, I recommend adding luke1765 to your ebay block bid list. He will bid and not pay. btw this was on a non coin product but it was still a collectible.

did you post a comment to the negative ? if not please do that to let your other prospective buyers know the reason behind the neg .at least until and if ebay removes it . something like (Buyer did not pay,but found the time to leave me a negative ) Metalman

ebay's ethical treatment of it's honest sellers and buyers sucks.

Here's another not so good buyer: jabrecollectibles
I explained clearly in an auction of rolled 2006 nickels that these were brown self wrapped rolls not mint issued rolls. Well after 3 days of waiting for a contact by him, he initially offers to buy the rest of sets I have for 6.95 and is willing to only pay $6.95 shipping for all... (yeah right, as if weight didn't matter to shipping) Anyway, I made him a deal to sell them at my cost and waited around for his reply, 2 hours later he replies "oh I did not read your auction clearly, I don't want the ones I bid on anymore" So if you see him bidding on your stuff, I suggest you be aware of his bids. I posted clearly and in bold my auction that they were brown wrapped rolls and he still bid on it. Just a heads up. Another note... do any of you know a way to cancel his bid after auction end and get my final value fees back without having to actually file a nonpayment claim?

Yes, but you still have to wait 7 days to apply for it, and the buyer has to agree. You file an NPB alert just like you normally would, except one of the options is a mutually agreed cancellation. ebay will send an email to the buyer and if they acknowledge the mutual cancellation, you get your fees back and they don't get an unpaid strike. Be sure to communicate with the buyer first and at least be reasonably sure they will agree beforehand.

hmm I adviced him of such procedure and rather than wait 4 more days he decided to bite the bullet on his mistake and pay up. So he's paid and items are going to be dropped off at the post office in the next hour.
