Anything that can go from $34 to $140 in less then a month is not for me. It is not going to end well for many.

Aye the Bitcoin has worked its way into a bad bubble in the past few weeks and is about ready to pop.

Rain all you want on the crypto-currency parade, but if you like numismatic items consider buying a few Bitcoins so you can trade for these.

NORFED SILVER for Bitcoin:

GOLD for Bitcoin:

There are many more offerings like this out there right now. Not many other ways you can get at these private collections folks!

Bitcoin wasn't hacked. A website that used bitcoins was hacked.
It wasn't even hacked. It was subject to a denial of service attack. For those none technical people, if hacking is like having your car broken into and things stolen, a denial of service attack is like trying to get on the freeway during rush hour traffic, except with a bunch of fake cars driving around instead of legitimate commuters. Two totally different things.

To say bitcoin was hacked (in this circumstance) is like saying the U.S. dollar was hacked because ebay was hacked. Nothing happened to the U.S. dollar, something happened to a website that used U.S. dollars.

Not sure if that is any clearer or not.

Makes plenty of sense to me but I know what a ddos attack is =P

I can't figure out the BTC market either. All I know is if everybody sold their silver and bought in when I posted this, you'd be very happy right now selling your BTC, buying silver back at amazing prices and putting the rest of your $$ into your savings acct.

Litecoins went from pennies to $4+

It keeps going and going and going. Even if it is a bubble and it pops, it will never go back down below $8 again. I think if it does pop, $50ish would be a conservative practical value IMO.

Hope everyone got out safe. Bitcoins dropped from $260 to a low of $105 at one point today. No thank you.

Now that the central banks pumped and dumped bitcoin
Watch the media trash talk it now.
Earlier in this thread, I mentioned how long can it
last outside the banking system? They didn't waste too
much time. Although it's still higher than the price of silver,
the psychological warfare against bitcoin will commence.

A billion $ vaporized in just a few hours...
If I were a merchant thinking of supporting this bitcoin cause
by accepting crypto cash, well my thinking just ended. Who in their
right mind is going to want to deal in this form of payment?
The risk in losing money outweighs the rewards by far.
This take down could very well be Bitcoin's Swan Song

I know. But there are some that do and maybe had them before this vast price change so not too much effect except thinking they were richer for a few days!
