1948 Penny, What Happened

A 1948 penny that looks like it was being melted at the time of being struck . Right side from DEI down to the bottom of bust has large waves all through the coin . The legend does not have double stamping but you can see another impression of the lettering . The date side does not have any problems .

That is a mystery. Even in the denticals, it looks struck about 4 times. Even in the front of the forehead.
Do you think it got stuck to one die?
That's a good one for the 10x loop.

Thanks Cownick and Pennysaver .

When looking at the coin it reminds me of something melting and turning to liquid as it flows away .
The letters don`t seem to be double struck as normal .
Definitely weird .
