A friend asked if I wanted this 'garbage nickel' today. Of course I said yes. :)
It is obviously stamped off center to begin with, BUT: on the queen side, you can plainly see a reverse image of a 1982 penny and on the beaver side you plainly see a reverse image of a 1993 penny.
It is slightly bent, but otherwise the right thickness all the way around.
How would something like this even happen? And is it 'garbage'?
