Hey there, I left my local casino last night and when I got home and looked at the bills they gave me it turned out I have a rare serial numbered canadian $5 bill.
The serial number is AAB1111111

I know you guys can't predict the exact value of the bill but I have literally no idea whether it's worth $5 or $2000. any insight on potential worth is appreciated.

The bill is circulated but in very good condition. Looks and feel like a new bill.

Thank you! Yes, I will take some good pictures and post them later tonight when I get off of work. Also, how should I be storing the bill? I have never had a collectible bill before.

Excellent!
If you were losing at the casino, this is a very nice present to find.
Depending on condition, 100 - 500.

Haha, I was actually up a few hundred so it's just a bonus. I'm super lucky to have cashed out an amount that required a 5 dollar bill though!

You can get bill protectors from the coin stores. I wouldn't store it in anything else but that.

I think that is as good as hitting the jackpot.
It sure would look good sitting beside the rest of my 5,s.
Uncirculated may bring $1000.

Hey, here are the pictures of the front and back of the bill. Any guesses on how much you think it is worth will be very much appreciated. Enjoy!

From the pictures, it is difficult to determine the grade.

I am going to say Extremely Fine (EF) which has a book value of $600.

I agree EF. I guess you will be going to the casino again soon.
I found many replacements and a couple of mismached prefix, until the government closed them down.
