The bumblee coin was sold out by Thursday during the MC release. This year it seems everybody is a MC member.

At least, how many 1912-1914 $10 coins were sold? ;-)

There must be a ton of new MC members due to the 1912-1914 gold coins. All you needed was to buy one of the $5 coins and you were 1/2 way to being a MC member.

The butterfly coin might sell out even faster than the bumblebee coin because there are more MC members. Not to mention people buying dozens of the Dino coins and Duck subscriptions

@Moneypenny, I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if the butterfly sells out faster than the bumble bee.

Oh I think this is guaranteed. Don't forget the mintage is only 10,000 and the mint will not be selling all 10,000. Even if they keep half the coins for their own sales the coin will sell out in one or two days. Don't forget they raised the limit to three coins. It only takes less than 1700 master club members to clean out the inventory. Better call one of the large online retailers to reserve your coin, that is if they will even take presales on this coin. My guess is that if the coin sells out in one or two days even the retails will push the price of this coin over $200.

The best part is they are already selling on ebay for over $200 and in many cases generating a $50 profit. Glad I'm a MC member.

If the butterfly is getting $200, what about the bumble bee? $300 minimum? Like to see how this plays out for the ladybug as welll.

@Mrpiedfort: I'm also interested to see how this will pan out..... not that I have any of those for sale. My theory is that it will be similar to the Mongolian (1oz antique finish) series where the 2nd and those followed appreciated quite a bit (around 3x-5x of issue price) and would plateau out. So for this Venetian glass series, I would think the Ladybug would be staying at around $1000, while the Bumble Bee will be $500 or so.... now, if the series continue, things can be a lot more interesting.

Went to the official post office. Saw the 2013. She did not have a cataolog for people only them and there were some very nice coins for sale. The lady said CP can order on April 26th at 1 pm which I am guessing it will go live on the mint site.

It seemed like the date of release had been all over the place....

The RCM should learn a thing or two from the US Mint (even though, USMint has many things to learn from RCM) and that is put up a page that list the release date of all the coin for the year (name & description & price, no picture). It would help their marketing department and save a lot of time for everyone.

Id have to say that out of the 3 glass coins....The cone flower in the 2013 coin has more detail/looks better then the other 2 flowers in the previous coins.aswell the glass butterfly has more than just Two colors unlike the bee and lady bug.....these are just my observations as a newbie....I still dont think ill grab this coin, and it looks like I might not have a chance at getting one @ issue price anyhow.....

The limit is the same as last time, I didn't have a problem getting the bee. Can someone confirm for sure that the bee didn't make it to the public release.
