@Rockdaddy, I'm not absolutely sure, but I don't think the bumble bee made it to public release.

I think it did, but I'm not positive. It really wasn't that hard to get at issue price.

The bumblebee made it to the public for about 2-3 hours during the first day of public release. I believe it was 6 am for us on the west coast when it went "in stock". Prior to that time it was "awaiting stock" for several days.
I managed to grab 3 of them during that time.

I ordered 3 one week in advance of MC member release so maybe that's why I couldn't recall exactly when it was sold out.

I've seen one in the PO in the Mississauga Center One, while in the same mall, "Stamps and Coins" dealer sell it for twice issue price.

I thought that the bumble bee went to awaiting stock 3 days into the MC release and then briefly opened up to public for a couple hours. I thought there were MC members that didn't get it. I guess we could look for the old thread on the release of it.

Hypocrite.....well after saying it aint for me last week....I put my name in the hat today for the 2013 Glass coin.A local RCM distibuter promised me one at issue price....I never knew the "Glass" was hand made in Italy.That interested me abit. Because of the glass bugs,the coins must come in a pretty Fat coin capsule I'm guessing? |
