Hi,
I just started collecting c/s coins and don't have any idea if these coins I bought from ebay are authentic.
The 1835 weighs 25.8g, 1829 weighs 25.4g, 1833 weighs 27.8g. I've read somewhere that these coins weighs 27g. I need input from anybody. Thanks.

That appears to be the Counterstamp that the Philippines used

I dont see anything that stands out as fake to me. The Counter-Stamp appears to match all that I've seen in the past.

Until Swamperbob or colonialjohn dissect these here is what I think :)

First coin looks real with reverse having a cut made for testing silver. Third coin seems to be a cast replica with some surface bubbles on obverse and bump on reverse around PUB. Not sure about the second coin though.

For the counterstamp, you need a specialist, those are heavily counterfeit.
They all look odd to me, but I'm overly suspicious usually :D

I use the following website to help evaluate these counterstamps. You'll need to scroll down on each page to see the counterstamp info. Comparing the counterstamps on your coins to those illustrated, here's how I see them.

http://manilagalleontrade.webs.com/...18331868.htm

The crown on the YII counterstamp looks way too narrow compared to the full, round design of those on the website.

The field on the first F7 counterstamp for your coin looks too plentiful compared to the website photos. I don't know if that kind of variation is normal or not.

For the second F7 counterstamp, I don't see the cross element at the top of the crown on your coin. Could be due to wear, or just the interaction with design elements of the original coin. I'd look for evidence of that cross on counterstamp and then evaluate from there.

That's my 2 cents, for what they are worth.
