Quote: Looking back at the 2006 set, it was in the $200 price range for a very long time (issue was $100, I believe), only when the excitement of the 2011 set start spreading (around 2010 when the news surfaced) that's when it jump to $300 range and stay there. Thats a perfect example of what I was trying to say though I may have been to ambiguous. Without at least every now and then putting out the ultra rare product generating excitement the series itself suffers. I bet a lot of people that missed out on the 2011 went back looking for the 06 making it a sought after product. You cant say for sure but without the 2011 set who knows where the 06 set would be priced now, the 2013 set certainly wouldnt have caused anyone to go back chasing that from missing out. Not everything needs to be rare like that but you do need things mixed in there that are. I'm going to assume that they arent going to do the enhanced version as a 1 off and we will see it again. It also just dawned on me they may be setting it up to recreate the same circumstances as the RP. What I mean is do this set with the mint to demand then the next time we see the enhanced do a low mintage so those that miss out chase this set. If they are I tip my hat to them, if they arent they will need to have a low mintage enhanced version to generate the buzz the 2011 RP did or the 95-W has.

Bumping this thread due to the nice link in the OP and the release of this set in the coming week.
I'm certainly going to order a couple.
What other sets should I be looking at in a mint order at this time? Certainly the silver proof set.

Unfortunately nothing in this set will have a population of 1.
I see a mintage of at least 500,000 and a corresponding MS 70 population.
This is going to be a great test of the mints new ordering system after the " great crash of 2011 "
Lets have a show of hands, how many of you are going to order :
1) the minute it goes on sale
2) the day it goes on sale
3) whenever during the 30 days, no rush
4) early to get one, then more later, depending on mintage numbers
5) at the last minute so I can see what the mintage is before I buy one
I am going to get two early, doesn't matter to me what the mintage is, nice looking set with a totally unique coin. ( well that is until the mint decides to replace the annual W uncirculated with the enhanced uncirculated from now on )

I am in @ 4
I don't have any of the sets in this series - I have several proofs and many of the uncirculated as well as several bullion... so this will be my actual first set.

#3 or #4, depending if they drop the price another $10 to a more reasonable $129.95. Option #3 seems the most reasonable right now as I'll combine it with the White Mountain 5oz puck that goes on sale on the 16th.

I think I may just have to buy myself this set. Sent an email to my dad about it too, in case he's interested.

I will probably pick up a couple of sets when they go on sale the first day so I don't have to wait longer than anyone else to receive the first sets shipped out. Then I will also pick a PCGS 70 set (or at least get on the waiting list).
