So today I decided to finally get on the ball and reorganize some of the older Canadian coins I had in my collection. I noticed I had a 1947 cent I had put away in my "duplicate" page (since I had a 1947 in my "official" collection already). I took it out to look it over just for fun, got my loupe out and gave it a close-up inspection to see if maybe it was actually nicer than my other 1947 and whaddaya know...it's a 1947 with maple leaf cent. Filled a hole in my collection that I could have filled years ago! Made my evening.

Very nice. I think the 1947 ML is the more common variety if I recall. Congrats on filling in the hole!

It is more common, but according to my official collection it was a hole...until yesterday!

with samsnate even though it's a common coin. Nice hole filler.

Canadian cents are kind of harder to come by in Texas so I am excited to have what I do. I just need a 1922, 1923, 1925 and 1997-2011 all varieties. I keep checking ebay for someone selling a set. I'll get it eventually! Then I will move on to other Canadian money. Already have most of my own money in collections.
