Today I got two more rolls of quarters, nothing special. A few low mintage coins, and the two different Laura Secord quarters which completed that series for me.

Searched 16 rolls of pennies and 20 rolls of nickels. Found a couple Canadian cents from the 1940's and 2 1961 nickels. Weighed my nickels from 1965-1981 excluding 1967 and 1970 which I separate. 15lbs of nickel in total. It takes a lot longer to accumulate nickel from nickels than copper from pennies.

Picked up two boxes of nickels and one box of cents today. Give me something to do over the weekend. Grabbed $10 in Loonies, $10 in Twonies and a roll of quarters as well (The wife wanted Garage Sale change). Checked em all and there was a 2012 Loonie Security with a nice DDO. Excellent notching for it.

Got a couple of US quarters in change today. One was a 1967. Waiting for payday to get back in the hunt.

I finally came back from my vacation. I pulled a few dollars in American quarters, the highlights being another White Mountain-D and the seemingly rare P-mint State Quarter, filling another hole. I now have 37 out of 112 State Quarters found exclusively in Canadian circulation... not bad, but not too exciting... I also found one more 2000-P nickel in a vending machine on Mount Royal, I completed my War of 1812 folder, and I spent ten counterstamped quarters that are redeemable for a prize if you can track down the right documentation on another website (i.e. you will have to Google the phrase on the quarter).

@DaytR: Thanks man! I keep all U.S. change I get. I too like the U.S. quarters. Especially the silver ones. Whenever the local coin shop has any, I buy as many as I can afford.

I saw someone was nice to extend an offer other forum members so I thought I'd do the same. I posted this in another Canadian thread for CRHing. I need to return my hoard of pennies and nickels to the bank as well as American pennies. Some unfortunate financial circumstances came up. I much rather someone who wants them and appreciates them get them than the poor things get metled. Off the top of my head they would be from 1964 and more recent. I would have checked them for major rare varieties but not minor ones, ie hanging three's and the like. I have them sorted already. Still in the process of rolling them. I would only be getting fave value at the bank so that's fine by me...if anyone wants to give me more, great, if not like I said at least they'll be appreciated. I live in Sudbury but travel to Toronto once in a while. As long as I don't have to go out of my way I'm ok. With dropping them off or meeting up somewhere.
The American pennies would be all excpet wheaties. Never checked for errors as I'm un familiar with American errors. They are not sorted for the most part either.
Send me an email if interested.

Picked up another 40 rolls of pennies. 26 unopened mint rolls of 2012s and six more rolls of BU 2012s from mixed rolls. Other than that the oldest is a 1953.

Searched 17 rolls of pennies today but didn't find anything special. Received a 1940 nickel in change and another HMCS Shannon Toonie from the bank.
