Quote: Well I don't know who Morgan is, but I am glad they turned in those rolls. Their loss, you gain. That 1979 is very nice, denny7000!

Thanks Jbuck, it was the only really nice one the rest looked maybe water logged and stained. The 1979 didn't have any of the many errors found on the 79 like double date or die clash marks. Overall a weak bunch of penny rolls, I'm used to better.

Sometimes roll (or change) finds are pretty unreal. I have a couple of Mary Gillick portrait pennies that are still red and a George VI in AU. Also an AU 1956 with electric blue toning.

I have a couple of pennies with that blue toning and they are eye catching when you find them. I wonder what is reacting with the copper to turn them that blue.

OK, so I have been searching for a while (3+ years) and I kept on hearing it was pointless to try to find this, but low and behold, I found this dirty little gem on Saturday. at first I was unsure of what I had

A 1991 circulation quarter, very nice find. I'm still looking for one myself. Needs a good bath, but a keeper.

Picked up two rolls of customer wrapped quarters today at local mall, they didn't have any pennies. I did pretty good for two rolls, got these six, four well circulated olympics and one 1971 American.

TD called me today to say they had pennies for me, around 40 rolls. This is pic of what I got, 48 rolls total, I will go through them this weekend and post my finds. I had to peek tho and the penny pinchers are all 1981 and older, no 12 sided pennies at all. Spotted a few 1979 in great condition. The shotgun rolls are more current mixed dates. I can hardly wait, I love roll hunting.

I haven't found the coloured olympic coins yet. I find fewer coloured coins in circulation compared to their non-coloured counterparts. I think people like to keep the coloured ones more, simply because they're coloured. Good luck with the pennies!

Yes I agree with you the coloured olympic quarters are getting scarce to find in circulation and when you do they are not in very good condition. I only have about 20 from circulation that are coloured. Ol Cindy there is in super condition and in a 2x2 already.

I too only find the red ones occasionally. I have only found a couple of the raised 2 men's hockey.3
I remember those penny pinchers. They came from RBC in the late 70's. I think I still have a couple around.
