@MoneyPenney: US Post Office don't offer these..... hehehe. I envy you Canadian for having access to RCM coins via Canada Post. Only if USMint would work with USPS..... wishful thinking. Even more interesting: USMint does NOT use USPS service to deliver coins, they are using UPS service. I think the reason is because USMint contracted their coins processing & delivery to a private company. Strange as it sound.... I received the package for my two Maple Canopy coins yesterday..... The left hand (order processing) and the right hand (IT/tracking) aren't talking to each other..... Btw, all RCM coins are delivered by FedEx. I sometime hate FedEx service, because are always on a rush and tend to just stick a notice when the gate is close AND their delivery time is very inconsistent.

just saw the fall canopy coin.....very disappointing. bare canopy with two colored leaves at bottom.. should have been their best in the series but definitely not.

it is really unfortunate. I have high hope for this series and especially since I really liked the first coin. Hopefully it looks better in hand but what I saw in the picture is just too cartoonist. It just looks too bare right now and the two leafs look out of place.

I think they have wasted a perfect opportunity to showcase how an autumn maple should look like. This one just reminds me of the 1/2oz O-Canada coloured maple leave coin that they are going to release in November. Also, one reason the first coin is so visually appealing is that there is no border on the coin, so the maple took up the whole 38mm coin surface. But they bring a think border back for the 2nd coin, making it looks more like a 34mm coin. Bad decision IMO, and also breaking the uniformity in style a series should carry.

The circular cut off of the branches is what's putting me off the most I think.

Good call on the border. That might be the biggest issue. Seems that the second coin has a different designer; it looks like Maurice Gervais (hard to see the initials in the e-mail pic) instead of Emily Damstra.

The red leafs are good. But they should use all coin surface. It still good series to continue. Like in every series - there are gems and the coins with less appeal design.

As I said on other thread. No leaves on the tree.
First coin looks nicer.

Maybe this is supposed to be the winter coin? Two leaves shed a little late?

Master club members with reps received advanced notice of the new releases one day before they are available to regular MC members. If we want the coins we have to place orders through the reps, not online. We got emails with pictures of coins today. Regular MC members can see them Wednesday.
