Last summer when I found my monster box of Walkers and Franklin halves roll hunting I brought them in for show and tell at the local coin club meeting. Another member came up to me and asked if I wanted to sell any. I didn't really want to but the said he had cash on him and was supposed to buy some silver the next morning that his wife gave him permission to buy and on and on so against my better judgment as I had been holding all of my silver up to that point I sold him 6 rolls of Franklins. Wouldn't you know it silver went up $4 an ounce over the next month and a half. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck.

A few months later he asked me at the club meeting if I was into halves as he had 8 rolls or so of Barber halves. Not wanting to start another set I couldn't afford to finish I told him I would pass.

A few months later he offered to trade some coins for my 1964 halves so I met him at his bank. He had 1500 Morgans and Peace dollars, maybe 50 rolls of Franklins and Walkers, and a few other numismatic valued coins but he said he mainly hoarded silver since the 1980's.

Anyways we worked out a trade and he wiped out all of my 1964 Kennedy's and I ended up with some Franklins to fill holes in my album, some Walkers to fill some holes in my album, and an instant Barber half collection almost all of the a solid Good if not a little nicer.

I got my Dansco in the mail today and took a few pics while filling it up.

Im pretty sure finding a monster box of franklins and walkers at face roll hunting eliminates you from being able to claim you have bad luck

I'm going to have to agree with basebal21, but it is a sweet looking set.

Took me over three years to finish mine. It was a pursuit that I really enjoyed but got expensive in a hurry.
Enjoy the hunt....
