Interesting. These should encourage collectors NOT to wrap coins in printed paper for storage since many would consider the print toning to be a defect.
Obviously you won't have DMPL reflectivity on well-circulated coins. Actually, I've never heard of Barber or Walking Lib halves getting a DMPL designation. You can find Barber proofs in CAM and DCAM quality, and very rarely a cameo proof Walker appears. I presume that whatever die preparation process generated all those DMPL Morgan dollars was never used for Barber and Walker production.
