Is it possible that this Nickel was dipped at some point? it's such a nice coin but I'm not seeing any luster, unless my eye's are deceiving me. Anyone want to take a shot at a grade?

Tough call, A coin that needs to be seen in hand but
I'm leaning toward original.

I guess it could have been dipped at some point, but I have some BU coins from original rolls that have no luster really, so that alone is not always evidence. It looks prety nice! I'd like to see it in person.

It's a Great Southern Coin photo. You never can tell with them.

Seems good to me - has a few scrapes that lead me to the conclusion of "not dipped".

very observant Kefiroth. it is a G.S. coin. it looks so good, I am considering bidding it for my collection. I look at their pics real close before I would even consider. I see many of theirs being cleaned or whizzed. this one seems to have very clean surfaces and appears to not have been cleaned. I wouldn't grade it above AU58 for pricing until I get it in hand. sometimes you can get a great coin at a good price from them but you need to be careful. Any other comments on G.S. coins in general? what to look for etc...

Being from GS opens a whole new can of worms.
Suffice to say the coin is depicted in the best light possible.
