1911 V Nickel - Dipped Or Cleaned? - Coin Community Forum

panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18662 Posts	Posted 03/28/2013 08:48 am Is it possible that this Nickel was dipped at some point? it's such a nice coin but I'm not seeing any luster, unless my eye's are deceiving me. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18662 Posts	Posted 03/29/2013 08:21 am very observant Kefiroth. it is a G.S. coin. it looks so good, I am considering bidding it for my collection. I look at their pics real close before I would even consider. I see many of theirs being cleaned or whizzed. this one seems to have very clean surfaces and appears to not have been cleaned. I wouldn't grade it above AU58 for pricing until I get it in hand. sometimes you can get a great coin at a good price from them but you need to be careful. Any other comments on G.S. coins in general? what to look for etc... Report this Post to the Staff
