Rockdaddy The ladybug did not have a limit initially. I ordered 2 with MC release and by the next day they had capped it at 1. They honored those orders prior to the limit being implemented. I remember seeing the big coin guys overseas with 30+ of the ladybugs.

Thanks Ottawa, I do enjoy the other forums immensely! This one is just crazy making! I understand people making $5-$50 profit to buy other coins. It's stepping on your fellow man to make hundreds I take issue with. It has been very educational, I now know to stay away from flipper auctions! I'll wait five yrs when the price drops, there's tons of historical and artistic coins on the market. Plus I never heard of crystal Pepsi, that provided a much needed laugh! Happy Easter everyone!

@Sergio Sriblo -
Design of the coin - Coins problem Availability of the coin - Mint's Problem Shipping & receiving - Mint's Problem
Availability of the coin is the mint. If they want to make more so be it. Shipping and that is the mints problem. If there is a delay it is the mints fault not the coins and should not reflect on the coin.

As for people wanting higher mintages being a joke? No it's not a joke. Some people are just wanting the coin... They aren't thinking of future selling value. There are birds and first Dino selling for $100 and up with mintages over 15,000. Again some people are buying them because they like them. Interesting concept.
And the famous line stated over and over..." The mint doesn't care about who skirts around limits. They are selling out their coins and that's all that matters." Therefore if they can sell out 15,000 glass butterflies no problem, why wouldn't they? They don't care about future values.

Because Perth Mint releasing so many coins every month, that's why they're decreasing in value. The RC Mint is following in the same foot steps. In 2000 RC Mint produce only 35 NCLT coins. In 2012 RC Mint produce 148 NCLT coins. In 2013 RC mint produce .... so far almost 90 coins. In 2016 RC Mint produce .... (My guess it may be over 300 coins. "MoneyPenney" a real coin collector doesn't care about the coin mintage. I only care if I like the coin or not, not the mintage. Last year I had a chance to buy 3 "Glass Bumble Bee", from the mint, but I didn't. Because I didn't like the design. That's why there's more coin collectors in the States, because I thing "you know why".

I may "flip coins" But I also collect, and as a collector, if the coin isn't rare, I don't care how good it looks, as mentioned earlier, the only items I see as worth collecting are items that are exclusive, not something that everyone has. I'm sure most people collect because they feel they have a stash of stuff that others can't get. If you jsut start increasing the mintage, what makes this different from bullion? No way in heck I'm paying $150 for a coin with unlimited mintage, I'd rather stick to my $30 Silver Maples, considering they're just as rare as a $150 coin. Some of you guys just don't make sense to me.

Interesting perspective. If everyone felt that way, there would have been no NCLT coin collecting before 2004.

Feel free to be an exclusive there. This forum might go back to normal. Quote: what makes this different from bullion The finish for one. Bullion mintage is in 100,000's Quote: the only items I see as worth collecting are items that are exclusive, not something that everyone has. Sounds like you should start minting your own coins. 2007 Canadian 25 cent Red-Breasted Nuthatch mintage was .... 25 000 (Thousands).
It doesn't have to be a small mintage for a coin to go up.

RC Mint will issue close to 300 NCLT coins in 2013. I understand that they have doubled their capacity.
In 1971, the number of coins was less than 5.
There were 8 launches in 2012. Another poster mentioned that it could be 11 in 2013. Launch 5 will come in late April.

That was kinda harsh. Yes we disagree, but do we have to go there?

Is it fair to say that other Mints will follow soon & copy RCM, with Venetian glass items on the coins? These happens already to other famous series. Mongolia Wildlife protection & Palau Tiffany Art.
