Hi folks, was looking through some dimes I need on ebay and came across this one. Thoughts on the toning? I know sometimes they're brought on unnaturally with chemicals, but I just don't know here. Thanks!

It looks to me like it spent many years in an album.

Are you specifically looking for a tone coin of that year or any 1947-S?

Are you trying to match the grade to others in your set?

1947S is not a key date and you could score a brilliant white MS coins for a dollar or 2 more than this one will end at unless someone jumps high due to the toning.

I bought an almost complete circulated silver Roosevelt set missing a few dates for melt and when I went to fill the few empty holes I had to fight the temptation to by MS coins for a few dollars more because the ones I did stick out like a sore thumb in the album against the rest of the coins.

Jack- I'm not looking for any specific condition or toning. I've put together a set of silver Roosies at mostly melt much like you have with most being in circ condition. I do have some ms coins and they do stick out but that's ok with me. I'm watching several -47S and -49S dimes now as they're the only ones I need. I like toned silver but the toning on this one didn't really appeal to me. I just threw the question on here about the toning for feedback and for some education. Thanks!
