What other items does the seller have for sale?
If they are all the same basement slabs then it might be a fake especially since the seller isn't concerned about recovering their $15 difference.
I think most basement slabbers buy general of the shelf home slab holders which would be cut to the correct diameter for a silver dollar so if it isn't loose in the holder it is probably the correct diameter.
Try a magnet. If you can pick it up through the plastic holder run.

HaroldS Wow...35 1887 Morgans! How on earth does one get that many to sell in a 3 month? Now I'm really suspicious that he never had my original coin to begin with.
GR58, yes I was going to start collecting slabbed proofs.

Its a no name slab theyres in the MS66 means nothing as you can see from the prices realized which arent even remotely close to the PCGS/NGC/ANACS sale prices. Quote: HaroldS Wow...35 1887 Morgans! How on earth does one get that many to sell in a 3 month? If you have the money they arent that hard to find, theres almost 100 currently listed on ebay graded by PCGS/NGC/ANACS. That said I have no idea whats up with that guy. I could see him trying to stiff you if he sent you a lesser valued coin but he sent you a more expensive one and doesn't seem to care

Oh I know about the no name slabs. I'm just saying the whole deal reeks. I'm very curious to find out if the actual coins is real or a good fake.

Yea I cant figure that one out either it just doesn't make much sense.
I am leaning towards that he got a roll or some rolls of them and polished them up to try and sell them for more just from the quantity that he has

Actually he has no current month neutral or negatives, but plenty in 6 and 12 month columns that I wonder how he has a 99.8% rating. And all of his auctions are private. I didn't take the time to go back looking for the neutrals and negatives.

If you click on the number for the negative or neutral it will show them all. I just checked them and its basically everyone just saying ANCS is not a real slabbing company/the coin was cleaned/coin over graded.

It is probably a mistake in your favor. Someone may have your penny thought.

I sent someone the wrong coin before. I sent them the right coin and told him to keep the wrong coin. The wrong coin was someone else's. I refunded their money and sent them the same coin that was better for free. These were just V nickels though I got cheap and had tons of them so no big loss.

Jeez just crack it and weigh it. We're all curious whether it makes 20 grams.
It's a fake. Prove me wrong.
