^You're not getting taxed on it due to the bug...
Any coin that sells for a significant amount over its face value (can be precious metals or other) or metal value (only applies to precious metals) is taxable in non-HST provinces.
I.e. the $20 for $20 is a numismatic coin, yet its still not taxable in provinces like BC as it sells for face value. Same applies to those special quarters and loonies, etc.
On the other hand you can use the O Canada Series coins as an example, there was no tampering other than pure metal, but they are still taxable in non-hst provinces as: 1) The price of the coin by far exceeds the face value of the coin and 2) The price of the coin by far exceeds the precious metal content of the coin.
Hope that makes more sense...

Quote: I haven't checked my cc statement, but when I log onto the mint site and look at my order there is no tax....I am in BC!?
It does not show on the Mint Site, when you receive the coins the tax is shown on the included invoice.

Wishing those who haven't yet received their butterfly, that it arrives in perfect condition with wings intact! Mine is safely resting at home in my china cabinet.

@allspice - Sorta...the prices have dropped significantly and the guy who bought it from me before for $285 did not want to go through with it since he saw other on ebay which arrived but I cannot wait to see it! I will still be selling one and will still make a profit just how much I do not know.

Those who have received your orders are lucky. My canopy and butterfly are all "backordered". I received an email from RCM yesterday informing me of such

I'm wondering if there's some sort of rhyme or reason as to how RCM ships. My friend who purchased her canopy after me, already received hers weeks ago. Meanwhile, all of my coins were purchased within the first hour of release, all on the same order, and are all backordered. The same happened with the 1812 coin packs. Friends who purchased the coins well after me (as in a week or two) would receive theirs months before me. Perhaps they ship in reverse purchasing order?

Yeah, it seems that way. On so many occasions, I would order something the moment it's available online under MC status. But it seems like non-MC members get their coins before I do. Doesn't make sense to me

I ordered the butterflies and canopies before they were even available on line....still waiting. Also still waiting for coins ordered in Feb. RCM shipping would be funny if it wasn't so frustration.

Well obviously it is not in order so only other option really is totally random.

I think there is some orderness to this randomness. If it was random, you would think that once in awhile, you would get the coins early.
