None of those things, although he was posthumously deified.

Are you sure it fits within the theme of this thread?

It does not fit precisely with the theme of this thread but I believe it is in keeping with the spirit of this thread. Those boundaries have been pushed before. But if you want me to just post the answer and move on, I understand.
More hints: The boy pictured on the coin was from Bithynia. The emperor who issued the coin was distraught by his death.

Well lets give it a shot and see if anyone can guess it. I honestly have no idea who it could be.

You got it, Windchild! Hadrian's lover, Antinous. Pretty remarkable coin, would love to own one but they are $$$. This specimen is for sale through CNG, price is $4500. Quote: EGYPT, Alexandria. Antinoüs. Died AD 130. Æ Hemidrachm (30mm, 13.74 g, 12h). Dated RY 19 of Hadrian (AD 134/5). ANTINOOV HPωOC, draped bust right, wearing hemâ€"hem crown / Antinoüs, cloaked and holding caduceus, on horseback right; [L]/Iâ€"Θ (date) in field. Köln â€"; Dattari (Savio) 8007-9; K&G 34a.2; Blum 10; Emmett 1347 (R3). Good VF, brown patina. Rare.
Ex Gorny & Mosch 125 (13 October 2003), lot 329.
One of the most remarkable cults of the ancient world was that which grew up around the youth Antinoüs, a boy from Claudiopolis in Bithynia who attracted the attention of the emperor Hadrian. Hadrian apparently had little love for his wife Sabina, and chose instead to shower favors on the handsome youth, whom he apparently chanced upon during a visit to Bithynia. During the emperor's tour of Egypt in October AD 130, Antinoüs fell into the Nile and drowned, an event resulting in suspicions of suicide or ritual murder. The distraught Hadrian had his favorite immediately deified, and the worship of Antinoüs became an important facet of the imperial cult.

I actually got it without seeing this page or the coin at CNG.
I'll post a coin later.
