not sure if this is posted already but here's some extra info anyways
100 for 100 = 1oz silver stampede of buffalo - nice looking 1oz silver eagle = same design as the tiny eagle gold coin (can't remember if it was that 1/25 oz or .5g... the one with just a profile of the the eagle's head)
there'll also be a 600 mintage, gold plated, 2-maple design, 1kg silver maple leaf a $499.95 5oz war of 1812 naval battle silver coin that looks pretty epic. a 1oz platinum version of the same theme as the above 5oz silver coin a $3 face value silver fishing theme coin feature the backs of a father and 2 kids, fishing a silver plated 1oz copper chinese theme coin - really nice design, 100 different "fu" symbols (the character of "good fortune") a new blessings of gold coin - of peace, with a chinese phoenix a new maple of silver coin - of peace, with an elephant
and that's all I can remember.

It appears that the RCM is not dropping but increasing prices as compared to last year even though Ag is trading at around $23 an ounce.

Quote: In the Canada Post coin catalogs it states something along the lines of "No copying images, etc... Serious offence, etc..."
If anyone wants to see them early, head down to a Postal Outlet. I fail to see how Canada Post can have any jurisdiction over a digital photo of a publicly available flyer. I am not commenting on what this site allows, as websites always err towards the side of allowing extralegal restrictions such as these, but the law itself.

The CP document says (yes in red and all caps)..."WARNING: UNAUTHORIZED REPRODUCTION OR RELEASE OF INFORMATION PRIOR TO ON SALE DATE MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS SANCTIONS."
This is an employer warning it's employees not to release information or copy sales catalogues. It happens every day in virtually every business.
It's not Canada Post imposing any restriction on the public or on a publicly available flyer. It's a message to their employees about an internal document. BTW, that document also includes other confidential information such as CP's margin on the products.
Some of the PO's I have visited recently told me that they got a special warning this month to stop showing this information to customers.

The lady at the post office was kinda hesitant by letting me take the photos, guess ill just have to look at the pictures and not take more pictures of pictures ;)
The 5oz coin is very tempting, but I don't know where will I get that kind of money.

It is gross that the drop in spot is not being passed on to customers. I personally would like the mint to draw up and release a binding formula, something along the lines of (I am not great at math, but hopefully you'll get the idea) Spot*(10,000/Mintage%), so that a 50k mintage coin would be sold at 20% over spot, a 10k at 100% over, etc. I don't care what the number is, I just want it to be binding. Obviously, exceptions will be made for coins sold at face value or less than 25% markup over face, like the $20 for $20 series.

I'm assuming that the RCM doesn't pass on drops in spot due to the fact that they have to acquire the silver well in advance of making the coins, plus there is making the dyes, marketing, overhead, staff, and of course profit. If they sold a 1 oz coin for spot price, they would actually be losing money, and then people who don't collect coins (most tax payers) would be outraged that they are subsidizing coin collecting.

Totally agree with that. It is a business after all.

I asked my rep this same question.
The response:
The mint purchased the planchettes way ahead of time so they cannot drop the price right away. Also the production schedule is set a year or more in advance so there is nothing they can do.

Also if production costs stay the same and only silver spot is taken into account. That 1oz $100 silver NCLT will only drop from $100 to $90. Not exactly backbreaking unless you're talking bulk

I'm starting to wonder about the release times on whatever day it's going to be, I thought it was at 10pm mountain time that the new releases were posted on the mints site, at least it was the release before the last release, then last release at 1pm mountain time the day of? Hmmm
