Like the others have said... my CC is still hot from the last two months. Better pass on this one. They really need to scale these down, not to mention I have not received a single coin from my march or april order

I received my shipping confirm from the RCM for the 7 years war coin today and one of my canopy orders a couple days ago. Received my 1/2 oz polar bear (subscription) today.

After the farewell to the penny, 25th anniversary sml, and this month's release of butterfly, canopy, and mask, my credit card deserves a break.

it seems that the general consensus is that monthly releases are too much. Please listen RCM!

I wonder if the May release will include the special edition specimen set in the wildlife baby series.
What will the toonie have on it this year? Beavers? Polar bear cubs?

All these releases have overwhelmed me and I am finding myself losing interest in the hobby. I will probably get back into it in a few years, but I am really fading away from it as of now. It is just too much, too fast, and too expensive right now.

Quote: All these releases have overwhelmed me and I am finding myself losing interest in the hobby. That's a shame. I can certainly understand it, however. Maybe your interest would be rekindled if you limited your focus to a particular denomination, series or theme. By doing so, it's likely that you'll be able to skip multiple releases and only have to make a few purchases per year. Trying to keep up with everything the RCM is releasing is definitely a recipe for disappointment!

I've desided to limit myself and narrow the focus. For too long tried to buy "all what I like" and with monthly relases contains in addition new subscriptions and series it out of my hobby budget. Every release/coin/set will ask myself - "is this coin fits my focus?" prior purchase.

I would be curious what % of their NCLT releases are bought by members of this and other coin collecting/flipping forums.
Too bad we couldn't do a collective "Just say no" to ordering anything from the May release until they get their ordering/boxing/shipping issues corrected.
Just a thought.....now back to reality...

I have actually been downgrading my collection over the last year so I can focus on a more narrowed collection. I have pretty much decided to only focus on 1 ounce animal coins globally. Even this is overwhelming if one were to get every 1 ounce animal silver coin produced globally. I used to only get stuff from the RCM, but since they started going crazy, I focused my collection, which led me to other Mints.

^^ I totally support that concept. I no longer have the financial resources to buy "everything" (except gold/platinum) like I did years ago.

I agree, it's impossible to buy all kind of released coins (lack of budget) but on the other hand I think is easier to sell individual coins that whole collections. Let's say that I've a collection of 50 polar bear silver coins and after 10 years I decide to sell them. It would be easier and I think I would get more money selling each coin separately that all together as a collection.

Seems like the flippers have the upper hand over collectors with so many releases. I'm getting quite frustrated with the mint. I quit buying things from the mint for a while after the delivery issues the mint has been having and started buying older CDN/US coins. But, I noticed so many counterfeiting problems with Morgans, Peace dollars etc. that I started buying NCLT from the mint again. My wallet (and marriage) can't keep up with the releases and price increases (bee coin).

^^^^^^^^ Flippers hardly have the upper hand since none of the coins are making much money besides the glass butterfly coin. The profit for the moon mask and canopy coins range from $5 to $15 after all the ebay fees.
