I have owned a few wrong planchet srikes that exhibited this type of bullseye effect any guess as to why some wrong strikes exhibit this and others in the same year don't . When I first came across examples like this I thought it might be a light grease that was spread out over the planchet or die , that "burned" by the strike . Thoughts.
I don't know the seller, but I recognize the watermark on the photo... That is Dean's coin (CCF handle 'cbu').
I don't think Dean still reads these pages, but if he does, maybe he can provide additional pictures.
