Here's hoping someone can positively identify this coin. It appear Austro-Hungarian, or perhaps Poland... one of those Eastern European localities that used the double headed eagle. Actual size = 15mm. As of now this is the oldest coin I have found in the silver scrap sources I frequent. Thanks for looking. -msy
It is 1 kreuzer in the name of Ferdinand II of Austria. ARCHID(ux)A(ustriae)DU(x) BU(rgundiae) are well known titles of Austrian emperors (archduke of Austria, duke of Burgundy). I don't know where the MAM stands for.
