PLEASE leave him/her/them a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK***** It is warranted IMHO for a move like that... That way for the next 12 months, his potential customers will be fore warned of business practices.

Negative feedback has been left, also reported to ebay. He may have done me a favor by having poor business practices....however from time to time I will buy a coin off ebay that has poor photos in hope of snatching a deal....it's payed off more times than not. These type practices bug the crap out of me though which is why I lit him up.

This sort of thing happens more often because ebay changed their rules so that you cannot cancel an item within the last 24 hours. Personally I don't think that's fair to the seller.

I agree, a deal is a deal.

On the .99 cent thing....as a seller you get way more bidders and generally end on a higher bid; if you start at 99 cents. Just the way it is. Yes, you do occasionally lose money, sometimes a lot of money. But; in the long run you make more money than you lose.

Watching your auctions can be nail biting, so I never look at them till after they end. Though it does seem that the days of last minute bidding wars are, mostly over.

Not what I see. I rarely see auctions without last second bids. Often they are won by a bidder that placed an early bid, but there are still bidders sniping.

I can't remember the last time one of the early bidders won an auction or when I had any significant sniping.

I usually post higher dollar coins but every time the auction receives bids in the last 10 seconds, sometimes a couple hundred dollars more within those last few seconds. Now considering the topic of this thread I think a negative with specifics was warranted in this case.

I have seen this lately on some coins also. Some I was bidding on others just watching. They were graded so I know it was the same coins. It is possible that the winner cancelled his bid but its against ebay policy I thought. Also could be a shill bidder trying to just bump up the price and accidently winnning. But in your case you won and he refunded your payment. I would definitely leave neg and 1 stars plus report it to ebay.

Had some ebay noob claim that a coin he sold me was lost when I ripped it for $40 ('78-CC Morgan, FYI) and you bet I negged him and opened a case when it was relisted at $100 4 days later.

Neg the crap out of him.

I would tell them that you should send you the coin or you will call ebay. This is just plain unacceptable. They simply want more for the coin then what it went for. That is how it goes when placing a coin up for auction. If they wanted a certain amount, they should have started their bid higher or listed it as a BIN. I have listed coins by mistake for a lower price than I should have, but sent the coin. This has worked in my favor when the buyer buys another coin that costs more. Unless the coin was grossly under-priced like you got a key date Morgan for 99 cents than they should send you the coin. Did they even send you a cancellation request? If they didn't than this is an issue and I would call ebay support. Hope the $3 extra was worth it to him. Maybe he will list it again? It is a VF coin, common date. Leave him negative feedback and call ebay support.
