Dasaki Pillar of the Community United States 500 Posts	Posted 04/16/2013 10:59 pm Were these only issued as proofs, or were the S mint issues also for circulation? I'm wondering because while at the bank today, I noticed two of these in the teller's box and after getting them home, noticed one was a 1980-S. Report this Post to the Staff

biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 04/17/2013 01:38 am 1979-S and 1980-S were available as business strikes while the 1981-S was only available in Mint Sets. cladking Pillar of the Community United States 2273 Posts	Posted 04/17/2013 4:51 pm A proof will still look like a proof until it's worn below "VF" usually. I once found a '68-S quarter in only VG that was still obviously a proof. Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps. Report this Post to the Staff
