Short term value of a first coin in series is a hit and miss. You need to wait until 2nd coin to see any major movements.

Any idea when the next coin in this series will be released? Will it be eagle-related?

A lot of things turned me off on this one. I do like the design.... I like eagles and this was a 1 oz proof coin so I was very much interested. When I heard it was sold out at the RCM, I figured, ok thats not tooo unusual. But what turned me off was hearing that Silvertowne was peddling the coin, (BTW I do like them as a retailer and have bought from them in the past and would again in the future just turned off how they are doing the marketing for this coin) I guess from an email they sent me, they are the exclusive US dealer, even tho I know other dealers have that coin,,, which that instantly gives me red flags that I should wait on this coin... and so yea, of course its gonna sell out if they have a ton of them.. and now I see them selling at the price, 99 with free shipping. I would expect that price will also come down.... so just everything turned me off, I would rather have something that no one wants or is talking about, like that 1/4 oz artic fox gold proof coin I think,,, I like it and its not being hyped. I also like the gold O'Canada series but really like the Polar beaver over the beaver, which actually reminds me of a musk rat lol.. no offense to beaver lovers.. I like beavers myself, I got the beaver 1 oz proof off of ebay.

What's the difference who sells them there are only 7500 and no more, can they not sell to other dealers that want them which they do because they have exclusive rights. You see them selling at $99 because that is the issue price it will not go down below that.Go ahead buy all the garbage coins no one wants

Nice coin. Getting tired of portrait-type, posing coins though. I don't know. Would rather see more coins in motion, like the new $100 bison coin. But appears to be a popular coin since it's the first of an eagle series...

Not sure if somebody talked about this already, but here's a bit of info I found about this eagle coin today.
Apparently, this coin was commissioned by SilverTowne (American refinery and bullion producer). SilverTowne has 60% of the mintage and slabbed their lot for sale on their site (it's up for sale right now between $119-140 depending on grade)

Dunno what farms some of you have visited but this doesn't look like any chicken I've ever seen. BTW, Silvertowne is showing these as OOS.

I liked 'em more once in hand. I think I'll like the next one more.
