Is the coin made from 1880-1900?
Is the coins denomination below (or is) 10 cents?

My guess is that your coin is a U.S. 1875-S Twenty-cent piece. Nothing personal, but I'm betting you have a coin from the mint (San Francisco) with the largest number of Twenty Cent Pieces issued that year.

Mintage figures for 1875 Twenty-cent piece:
1875 â€" 37,000
1875-S â€" 1,155,000
1875-CC â€" 133,290

21-Questions---Round-3-Ask-Away!

21-Questions---Round-3-Ask-Away!

1. John Percival Jones - Played a large role in creating the 20c denomination.
2. Matthew Webb - First to swim across the English Channel by human power only. Accomplished this historical feat on August 25, 1875.
3. Martin Waldseemüller - First to use the phrase "America" to refer to modern-day USA on his map called the Waldseemüller. Surprise, surprise .

Congrats capsnhawks! Round 4 will start most probably tomorrow.
Thanks for everyone who participated!
