TIF Contest #2 In appreciation of this valuable site, the education it provides, the camaraderie, and to celebrate my full member status (90 days + more than 250 posts), here is a little contest. Don't worry, you don't have to think hard for this one.Rules: 1. To enter, post a haiku in this thread. Yep, a haiku poem. Remember those? Three lines, 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second line, 5 in the third line. Preferably something related to numismatics but any subject will do. 2. Posting a haiku poem gives you one entry. You can post as many poems as you like but you will only get one entry into the raffle. 3. BONUS! If you are a CCF Supporter, you automatically receive 4 extra entries. Woohoo!! You can be a CCF Supporter for as little as a one-time $5 donation. Click on the word "Supporter" under my user name and it will take you to the CCF donation page. 4. You must have at least 50 posts on CCF but I will waive this is you are a CCF supporter, in which case your posted haiku will give you 5 total entries. (Hey mods-- you can enter too...) Some examples of haiku: an old silent pond a frog jumps into the pond splash! silence again - Basho Matsuo, 1644-1694brittle paper tears the glint of a silver edge happy roll hunter-ThisIsFun, 2013too fat to lick butt big poop in the litterbox scoot across the floor -my late poet-cat Tigger, (unknown)-2007The contest closes on Friday, March 8th at midnight. The raffle winner will be selected using a random generator program. An additional prize will be awarded for Best Haiku, which I will select with total subjectivity. (note: the drawing may not be until early the following week in order for CCF to process all donations; the word "Supporter" will appear under your user name once the donation has been processed.) Prizes: one 1921-D Morgan dollar, one 1922-D Peace dollar. The raffle winner picks first and the Best Haiku winner gets the other coin. If either winner prefers something else, I might be willing to give other another type of coin or coins of approximately equivalent value, so it's OK to ask if there's something you would rather have (but please wait until the contest is over, don't post your desired prize in this thread).

Ha! Good one.
More poems = more chances to win the Best Haiku portion of the contest. No limit to the number of entries for that portion :)
