The Treaty of Hubertusburg was signed on 15 February 1763 at Hubertusburg by Prussia, Austria, and Saxony. It marked the end of the Seven Years' War. The treaty ended the continental conflict. Silesia remained Prussian, and Prussia clearly stood among the ranks of the great powers. The Treaty of Hubertusburg, though it restored the prewar status quo, marked the ascendancy of Prussia as a leading European power. The phrase "Hubertsburg Peace" is sometimes used as a description for any Treaty which restores the situation existing before conflict broke out. Report this Post to the Staff

wonghinghi Pillar of the Community Hong Kong 1270 Posts	Posted 05/10/2013 11:56 pm Thank you for a chance to read the Treay of Hubertusburg again by enjoying this gorgeous coin. I have seen a high grade specimen of this type several times but yours is a UNC sample, very scarce. For the purpose of issuing this coin, I don't understand why the Seven Years' War and this Treaty of Hubertsburg marked the victorious situation of Prussia over Austria but Nuremberg was a dominion of the Austrian Holy Roman Empire, why did she strike a coin for this memory? Or I should say this was a commemorative coin for Peace only, that is, it was a neutral celebration. Regandon, do you also know what the personifying femal god is doing with the hot pot?
