Some people have mint reps. There really is no 'elite' MC, reps help MC members by taking advance orders on hot coins and can skirt limits on certain coins, and, can help with specific requests. I don't know what qualifies a person for a rep, some have said a certain amount per year, others have said if you order gold coins, others have said if you call in your orders....

Quote:whats the difference between elite mc and mc? iv only spent maybe 1500 bucks in the last year on RCM....it says I'm a mc member but it also says beside my name (spend 999.99 in a year and earn elite mc status.....and its at the 100% mark... Everyone is a MC member once they they buy $1000 worth of coin in a year. I believe you get a rep when you spend a lot of money at the Mint. How much is "a lot"? I don't really know. As for gold coins, you don't get a rep simply by buying gold; they go for $500 or $1000 a pop, so they will add up in your account pretty fast. That is how I think I got a rep recently, by buying a few gold coins which added to my total spent at the Mint.

just having rep mc members allowed to order 1 day earlier. along with other small benefits creates two distinct mc members and apparently there is an another class of mc members for the few who spends massive amounts. If the reps are on commission, this would explain the different classes. I think the RCM goes through your recent purchases and if you buy volume other than the one time BOC gold coins, they advance you onto the staged mc status.

139.95 for 1/4 oz of silver for the Niobium coins... Very very expensive IMO....

@CC-Ottawa, looks like there is a new rule, no linking to photos found on flikr or similar websites that have pre-release images. "Guess I have to be EVEN MORE SPECIFIC. Pictures of pictures are not allowed either. Geez Louise."
Is there a rule about using google?
If not, @marty
Google --> RFD collector and numismatic Coins discussion thread Go to page 1900, then towards the bottom of said page, find the link.

I wish they would consider us living on the west coast; 5 a.m. PST is a little early and when the time comes when there is another super hot coin I have a hunch the west coasters will be out of luck unless we get up super early :)

The coins will be available for ALL MC members tomorrow morning. There is no such thing as elite MC members. People who has a rep can phone in today and order the new coins. Not to worry this month because there are NO super hot coins this time around. You won't miss much.

Perhaps there's different rep status as well as my rep emailed me today indicating that coins would be available to order tomorrow (Tuesday) and that he would send out an email with the list of coins at that time. This was done as well for the one day early release to MC members for the $100 for $100.
