This crusty old gal has seen some action. One of the rarer coins in my collection. 1828 25/50 quarter. It is in a PCGC holder. Thoughts and comments?

Thr reverse looks VG, but the obverse not quite. G6 here, and a great coin .

I Think it makes VG-8 also.

Prethen, it is my experience that Bust Halves and Bust Quarters wear differently due to size, strike, weight, relief etc differences. The 1828 25/50 is a quarter. It wouldn't be comparing apples to apples IMO.

G06. Not quite enough meat remaining for VG8 but very close. Love all the CBQ being posted!

I'll go a VG10 grade here, the reverse is nice, don't know if it will pull the obverse up from a VG8 but I think it might have on this coin.

Well, I don't have a pic of the holder with me, but this coin is, in fact, a PCGS G-6. Good job guys!
