How much is the list price?

@ noahs-numismatics: The list price is $34.95. It's unfortunate that some folks were misled to believe that this is a 1 oz bronze coin. These purchasers should be given two 1/2 oz coins for the price of one, since they unwittingly paid for twice as much bronze than they will receive. Confused ? So are the folks doing to proof reading at the RCM. But Hey, it's a Crown Corporation so what do you expect?

Okay, thanks! Hmm... just 'cause I like the design, and don't want to spend the money on the silver one, might get it...

What's the difference if it's 1 oz or less? Anyway, the coin price is ridiculous according to the bronze price. The people is buying this coin just because it's the first Mint bronze coin not because of the bronze value. Btw .... this will be like playing the lotto, who is going to get the 00001/15000 would be the very fist bronze coin ever produced by Mint .... easily 2,000$ in ebay.

There was no mention of 1oz on my dealer sheet, so this was definitely just a mess up on the mint website....
My sheet calls it: "2013 $3 BRONZE COIN CANADA: AN ALLEGORY" 19.2 g weight 35.75mm diameter

No, I would be buying the coin because I like the design, but not for the price of the silver coin.

The people is buying this coin just because it's the first Mint bronze coin not because of the bronze value. The metal value is less than $1. In comparison to the one ounce silver coins RCM produces, this coin should have an issue price of about $5. Say $10 tops with COA, case, etc. My guess is the ebay auction will sell for $100 (pre-sale & sold out), because people are attracted to something new and trendy. I think I'll get one too, at issue price, because it's a Mint first.

IMO, 1oz or less, the key is that 1oz bronze could be made bigger than 1oz silver and bigger coin is always appealing. now the size and the weight are lame.

cheney! A 1oz coin could have a larger circumference and would be much more attractive. And now it has been pointed out by canuck1us that the "bronze" coin is by today's definition and standards really a "brass" coin! From Wikipedia: "Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc; the proportions of zinc and copper can be varied to create a range of brasses with varying properties. By comparison, bronze is principally an alloy of copper and tin..." I guess as commems said in reference to the mistake about the coin's weight, this is just natural human error and I'm sure the mint will correct it "in a timely manner".

Quote:The 3-coin Allegory Set is in back order ..... it seems the RCM is selling a good amount of them ... Sorry arianzo, I don't see any correlation between the two (i.e. backorder means selling a lot). One has nothing to do with the other. I doubt very much that the "Allegory" set is selling well. I do believe there are problems getting the three coins packaged properly, since it was never the mint's intention to unload them as a series. I'll use the "Dreamcatcher" coin to illustrate what I mean. I ordered one at the end of May. I received two emails (August and November) informing me that the coin was backordered. This was due to production problems not popularity. I got to see the coin this week when it finally arrived (I like it!). I'm sure you'll agree that the "Dreamcatcher" is not a so-called "hot" coin, nor ever was. One can still pick one up from CC&C for the issue price of $74.95. I rest my case...
