I jsut found this site recently when I was trying to google facts about some of my coins! normally I get coins for metal content and didnt normally know a whole lot else about them! SPP-Ottawa Moderator Canada 10460 Posts	Posted 06/03/2013 01:21 am I was a strong participant and supporter on the CCRS (Canadian Coin Reference Site), from 2005 to early 2010. Over time, we (collectively, the backbone of that site - the collectors) grew tired of the ever-changing rules and censorship that the owner of that site (and the Torex Coin Show) was increasingly imposing upon us. When I was deleted, simply for asking which "rule" was broken that removed an entire thread... that was the straw that broke the camel's back and we all left. Some CCRS members, particularly the Canadian large cent experts, went to Coppercoin.com, some members went to NumisSociety, some found their way here (e.g., Zonad and Bill in Burl) and some of us formed a private web forum... None of us have returned to CCRS, and most of us no longer set foot anywhere near Torex. After a couple of years of not participating on public forums, I found this place, with some old CCRS members hanging out here as well. I have been here a little more than two years. This site is not perfect, but I do like that it has a Canadian section. Ideally, I would love to see another Canadian-run web forum...
