Hi,

I picked up a few Australian silver coins. I have a Krause so I know rough relative values but I'm just wondering if there is anything interesting in this lot as I don't know the series that well and there may be something I have missed. All are worn though the 1927 3 pence is probably AU.

Sorry for the harsh photos

many thanks

Nice Lot

The 1914 Shilling is also in very good Condition

Pity the 1922 3D is not overdate - that would be something

Krause is pretty lousy when it comes to Australian coins.
I would grade and value them at around:

1910 3d: VG - $2-3
1911 3d: VG - $3-5
1911 6d: VG - $7-10
1912 1/-: aF-F - $25-35
1916 2/-: gF - $20-30
1914 1/-: VF - $40-50
1917 2/-: gVG-aF - $10-15
1917 6d: gVG-aF - $5-10
1922 3d: VG - $1-3
1924 3d: F - $7-10
1927 3d: gEF - $30-40

That's really useful - thanks a lot - I paid just over £60 so I think that was fair enough. There was actually 13 in the lot - I've missed one - attached now.

It's actually quite strange. The reverse is AU (with luster) yet the obverse seems VF-ish though perhaps the dirt on it doesn't help.

thanks again for having a look. :)

EDIT - I assume the little M is for Melbourne?
