Anyone who knows me, knows that the only possible answer here is a DMPL Morgan in Superb Gem Uncirculated condition. An MS67DMPL Morgan is capable of reflecting enough light from the Moon to read by, and there's nothing else like it in numismatics.

First it was a U.S. coin from the 1700's but it slowly turned into a 1794 large cent.
Well I found one which was dateless but had fantastic details everywhere else. There's a real noticeable 3-dimensionality still left in her face. And I picked it up for only $90

Ever since I've had copper fever and foolishly browse ebay... just looking for a large cent that I have to have.
1793 is of course the year to have and that is my one unobtainable coin. I'm a broke college student with no (steady) job so I'll probably have to wait until after my degree

1793 Chain cent S-4, or maybe S-1. I really prefer the bust on S-4 because it looks the least like a witch.

I've been really holding up on starting my Seated Liberty half dimes to accumulate funds to purchase the 1846 Half Dime as I'd like to start with keys before moving on to other pieces in the series. Due to their rarity I'd like to stick around the Good to Fine range with original surfaces and without damage. Once I acquire the 1846 I'll probably acquire the pricey dates of the 1860s.

Gosh, I don't know! I'm going through a phase when a lot of my coins look to me like I'd like to upgrade them! So any really good grade, attractive Tower shilling of Charles I might do.

But I'd certainly like this:

What-Coin-Are-You-Holding-Out-For?-That-Is-Obtainable

Spink 2789, Sharp D1/1

I have one, but it's nowhere near as nice as this. Unfortunately this one belongs to a friend. So I'm going to have to wait until he tires of it or finds a better one!

EDIT: Oops. Just noticed this is in US Classic Coins. Sorry guys!

One of the three keys to the Large Cent series (Chain Cent, 1799 and 1804 Draped Bust). Those are the three holes I have in my coppers from 1793 through 2013 (1856 FEC excepted ).

That is amazing. I would love to see this collection

1793 S-1 chain cent. I need that to finish off my chains. After that there are still some "affordable" 1794 varieties I could use, and maybe a very few 93 wreaths. (The 93 caps are just completely out of reach.) Oh and an 1884 to finish off my Three Cent Nickels. 1846, 65,66,and 67 Half Dimes to finish off that set.

All of those are "doable", one at a time, if I concentrated on on saving for them. Frankly the only one I would really have a problem with is the S-1.

Of course any of the coppers mentioned above. Really though I have been looking for a fine'ish 1787 Nova Eborac. Likely a Breen 986 or 987.

westcoin, I had to look up "condition census", this is proabably one of many explainations;

"Condition Census as the top grade received by the top 5-6 coins, plus ties. So, if there were multiple coins with the same grade as the lowest grade coin to attain one of the top 5-6 slots, then all coins with that same grade would also be considered Condition Census."

I"ve had a few VAM condition census coins in the past, but sold them to help my ailing father out when he was alive. My collecting interests shifted to Two Cent Pieces more and more over the years (I really like the odd denominations and the odd varieties I suppose. But I keep looking - never know what will turn up! fingers crossed.

I'm greedy:

1815 Capped Bust half dollar
1793 Large Cent all varieties, but mostly Chain (I don't have any though...)
1855 S Seated Liberty half dollar (where I can read the LIBERTY, not an easy or cheap option)
1883 and 1887 3 Cent nickels

That's enough for now!!
