Would like to get some opinions on this coin. Bought it some time ago and wondering if I should send it into ICCS for grading or to PCGS because I know ICCS does not grade brown cents too high!

Great Pics !! A real beauty !! I would say MS-64 BN, could be RB depends how much of the Red is more apparent in real life.

My guess, if it is BN ICCS would probably go for MS-63 and PCGS MS-64. You may also get Trace Red MS-64 from ICCS ...

Overall nice coin !!

I agree with gidjit, distractions in the fields, and only average strike quality.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Back to your original question. ICCS or PCGS. ICCS will give you 63RB and no higher. PCGS will go 64BN. As far as value goes, a 64 BN will be discounted for not being red, but by how much. You also have to consider cost of grading. ICCS=$15ish, PCGS=$50ish.

Thanks for all the responses! I might just keep it in a 2x2 if ICCS will give it ms63 and enjoy it from close up. I have another almost just like it but brown like chocolate, the coin is even nicer than this one just the color. Will post pics soon and get more opinions.

Thanks again!

Those prices change considerably with volume submissions, my last PCGS batch was cheaper than if I had used CCCS hard holders...
