Hi All,

Mostly I collect Canadian NCLT and some bullion.
But also I like Canadian circulation coins and take out (from the change mostly) all commemorative coins.

Together with this started to collect RCM sealed sets - started from 2011 Parks coins. The sealed sets lead me to take a look at circulation PL sets (annual sets). That way I have an idea to add to my collection very limited amount of these sets, something unusual and significant.
Lets say, for example - 1967 set or 2012 set (the last one with Penny).

On basis of this, which of the sets you can suggest to take a look at?

**I tried to search for some similar topic, to add my question to it, but didn't find. So this the reason of starting the new one, questionable and not descriptive.

Keep in mind the mint switched from making PL sets to making BU sets (coins identified as NBU by ICCS) quite a while back and then a couple of years back switched to just putting circulation coins in the sets with no special finish to them at all. Charlton Vol 2 has a section covering the different sets or take a browse through the first few items in the list on the left https://www.jandm.com/script/getcatalog.asp?CID=5 covering Proof Like sets, UNC sets etc.

Thanks for the URL, kuh85.

This will give me direction.

Yes, you correct about the finish changes. I am not "locked" on the "Proof Like", just assuming, that the couple of items that I need - they from the "PL years".

Actually my plan is:

*Pre-1967 (silver content)
*1967 PL set - this one I have
*Post-1968 - 1986 (no silver, with the Voyager Dollar)
*1987-1995 (Loonie but no Twonie in the set)
*2012 (the last set with maximum coins) - also have it

You may also want have these PL sets:
1992--contains a regular caribou version quarter which is not for circulation
1999 & 2000--contains a regular bear version toonie and a caribou version quarter
2002 -- contains a different 50 cent (more regular)
2006 -- some sets contains the 1996-2006 regular bear toonie (normally the 1996-2006 toonie has a bear with sunshine)
