Short story: At the bank today, glanced at the tellers tray (like I always do.) Bingo! so I thought. This is what it ended up being. Got me curious though! Thoughts? Is it an error...er anything special? I don't collect dimes unless they are silver so I literally have no knowledge other than it's worth 10 cents.

Weight = 2.30g


Coin in question is on the left and side by side with a normal '83 dime. It looked silver

What they've done to the modelling of the relief, & the lettering, is a crying shame.

Looks like paint but that is surely not its original surface.

Painted. Well done pros. It turned out to be a powdery silver coating. Lightly rubbed the edges with some airbrush thinner and came off. Nothing exciting... Thanks for the replies.
