bobby131313 Forum Dad United States 24176 Posts	Posted 07/18/2013 10:40 am The Numismatic Crime Information Center is assisting a Financial Crimes Task Force and the Secret Service who are investigating two offenses where a large amount of fake silver and gold bars were purchased. The one ounce silver bars were imprinted with Pan American Silver Corp /Northwest Territorial Mint. The gold bars were imprinted with Earnheart Mint. We are attempting to locate other offenses or dealers having come into contact with these type of fake bars. papermoney Valued Member United States 177 Posts	Posted 07/18/2013 7:51 pm I've never come in contact with a fake bar - but I have gotten quite a lot of bars that are gold plated labeled "GOLD LAYERED" and "GOLD CLAD". They come up with a good amount of deceiving names. Who wishes they would stop making those horrible base metal pieces of trash? Report this Post to the Staff
