This coin will get a Genuine holder at any
TPG. It's an AMAZING find!
I have been lucky enough to own or broker 6 different examples of this coin. An AU58 in a PCGS holder that I sold on Telerade 18 months ago fetched a record price at $4100. But prices have slipped very quickly. This coin has come out of the woodwork with the known population more than doubling in the last 24 months.
Most recently I sold a PCGS AU58 example in May, I accepted $2000 in a partial trade deal. I probably could have easily realized $500 more, but it was a simple and quick deal.
I feel your coin (if slabbed in a PCGS holder as "Genuine, AU Details) would fetch somewhere in the $700 to $1200 range. There is too few "problem" coin sales recorded to give a more specific value. It's possible it could bring more, but impossible to know until it's offered.
